Job Summary
Dishwasher/Steward needed to wash, sanitize, and properly store all dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans; maintain cleanliness and organization of dishwashing and kitchen areas; receive, unload, and stock deliveries; ensure proper rotation and storage of inventory (FIFO); take out trash and recycling; clean/refrigerators and freezers; assist with deep cleaning and special projects; follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines; requires ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and work in a fast-paced kitchen with flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience in a restaurant or retirement community kitchen required
- Ability to speak, read, and write English
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Willingness to follow instructions and support kitchen staff as needed
