Job Summary
Buss tables, wash dishes, pots, pans, and flatware, and reset dining areas to ensure clean dish availability. Clean and restock dining areas and cook stations before the next shift, while also cleaning kitchen machines, appliances, coffee makers, mixers, and pots. Unload and store deliveries, sweep and mop floors—especially when items break or spill—and take out trash and rinse garbage cans. Assist kitchen staff by maintaining cleanliness of equipment, utensils, and work areas, and support other restaurant staff with additional tasks as needed. Report kitchen accidents or violations of food safety codes and procedures immediately.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly
- Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- Must work well in stressful high pressure situations
- Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred
