Job Summary
Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to clean and sanitize all dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment while adhering to health and safety guidelines. Sort and stack clean items in designated storage areas, maintain the dishwashing zone by sweeping, mopping, and managing waste, and assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks like peeling and chopping. Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure timely food delivery, report equipment malfunctions, and adapt to flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays. This role requires a valid Food Handlers Certification, physical stamina to lift up to 50 pounds, and familiarity with cash register software such as Aloha or Hot Schedule. Required Qualifications
- Food safety knowledge, including familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices, along with an understanding of proper food storage, handling, and hygiene procedures
- Ability to follow sanitation protocols, including proper handwashing and appropriate glove use
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds)
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks
- Ability to bend, stoop, and reach
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously

- Ability to learn cash register software used by bar or restaurant POS – Aloha, Hot Schedule, Paylocity
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be able to work late nights and unpredictable hours
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Previous experience as a Dishwasher or in a similar role is preferred but not required
