Job Summary
Wash dishes and utensils, prepare ingredients for cooking, and maintain kitchen cleanliness while adhering to health and safety regulations. Ensure the kitchen is well-stocked and follow all safety standards during daily operations. This union position requires flexibility to support changing team needs and communicates well with customers and staff. Available Monday through Sunday between 8am and 8pm, with shifts varying to meet business demands.
Required Qualifications
- Able to communicate well with customers and staff in a timely and caring way
- Able to be flexible to support the changing needs of our team and department
- Able to complete tasks with little direction
- Attention to details, accurate work, able to find and correct errors
- Able to respect people from all different backgrounds and abilities
- Ability to show up each day in a timely manner ready to work
- Frequent positioning is required to access both low and high shelving, equipment, and products
- The job also entails the frequent movement of containers weighing up to 50 lbs
- Dishwashers/ Prep Cooks constantly prepare and handle items
- Dishwashers/ Prep Cooks will utilize various equipment including but not limited to knives and mixers
- This role requires exchanging accurate information in person
- Occasionally work in a walk-in cooler
- Be exposed to sanitizer, cleaning products, and loud noises
Desired Qualifications
- Commercial kitchen dishwashing and/or food industry experience
- Communicates in more than one language
