Job Summary
Maintain the dish room successfully, completing all duties and responsibilities, while reading and following recipes to ensure product consistency. Assist with meeting or exceeding resident dining expectations by cooking in large quantities for large groups. Demonstrate skill in plate presentation and portion control, applying good sanitation and cleanliness practices. Operate and maintain kitchen equipment while learning new food preparation techniques and presentation methods. Work in harmony with co-workers as a dependable, punctual, self-motivated team member who requires no constant supervision. Full-time hours from 10:30 am to 7:00 pm, every other weekend and holiday. Serv-Safe certification preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Willingness to learn new food preparation techniques and presentation
- Must know and have good sanitation and cleanliness practices
- Demonstrates skill in plate presentation and portion control
- Must be able to cook in large quantities and for large groups
- Ability to work in harmony with co-workers and be part of the team
- Knowledge of equipment operation and maintenance
- Must be dependable, punctual, self-motivated, and able to work without constant supervision
- MUST be at least 18 years old!
- At least one year of kitchen related experience
- Must present a neat, clean appearance and demonstrate a positive, cheerful attitude
