Job Summary
Dishwasher responsible for cleaning and sanitizing dishware, ensuring a ready supply of dishes, utensils, and service ware for meal periods, and assisting in kitchen and dining-area operations. Duties include cleaning and sanitizing all flatware, dishware, and kitchen surfaces, recording dish machine temperatures, assisting with deliveries and storage of supplies, and supporting front-of-house activities when time allows. Must maintain hygiene, adhere to safety and sanitation procedures (MSDS), and promote a positive, team-oriented dining environment for students, faculty, staff, and guests. Position is part-time, on-campus in Exeter, NH, with weekend and night shifts and a flexible schedule; essential personnel.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- Familiar with equipment, materials and methods used in sanitation and knowledge in the care of utensils and equipment preferred
- One year of experience in duties as described or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in institutional food service or housekeeping is helpful
