Job Summary
Conduct dish room maintenance by arranging soiled dishes, pre-rinsing items, loading trays, and washing pots and pans in a three-compartment sink. Air dry utensils without stacking, keep stations clean, and restock kitchen personnel and servers with clean dishes. Perform side work during shift downtime including rolling silverware, cleaning bathrooms, and assisting crew members with food preparation. Maintain cleanliness of the dish area, prep kitchen, and employee restroom while breaking down boxes and removing trash. Work extensive standing and walking shifts up to eight hours, lifting up to 50 pounds and carrying trays weighing about 50 pounds. Communicate clearly with managers on duty regarding problems and work irregular hours under heavy pressure.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to see at a distance (20) feet, at close range (12 inches), distinguish between shapes and utilize peripheral vision to avoid hazards.
- Must be able to communicate clearly
- Must have high level of mobility/flexibility in space provided
- Must be able to fit through openings 30" wide
- Must be able to work irregular hours under heavy pressure/stress during busy times
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
