Job Summary
Operate dish machine equipment and wash items by hand to ensure the highest sanitation levels for all kitchen equipment, utensils, dishes, and glassware. Clean and sanitize back-of-house areas, including floors, walls, and shelving, while sorting trash, compost, and cleaning up spills or breakage. Assist in staging equipment for set-up, restock workstations, and complete opening, operating, and closing duties according to established procedures. Verify that all equipment is cleaned, sanitized, and properly secured at the end of each shift, and communicate inventory needs to the Concessions Supervisor. This part-time role at the SoFi Center pays $22.00–$23.00 hourly with 401(k) matching and requires an active State Food Handlers Certification.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, such as boxes and equipment
- Must possess an active State Food Handlers Certification or be willing to obtain one upon hire
- Ability to follow food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment
- Strong communication skills to interact with employees, management, and guests in a professional and respectful manner
- Ability to work weekdays and weekends, with availability for some morning, noon, and evening shifts on an on-call/event-based schedule
Desired Qualifications
- Five or more months' experience in a fast-paced food service industry role preferred
- High School Diploma, G.E.D., or related food service experience preferred
