Job Summary
Operate dish machine equipment and wash items by hand, ensuring the highest sanitation levels for all kitchen utensils, dishes, and glassware. Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment, maintain orderly storage areas, and assist in staging equipment prior to set-up and during clean-up. Sweep floors, remove trash or compost, and clean spills or breakage while ensuring compliance with health, safety, and employment regulations. Assist on the plate-up and food production line as needed. This part-time role at Jungle Island offers an hourly rate of $15.00-$16.00 with 401(k) matching, requiring availability for weekdays, weekends, and on-call shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to work weekdays and weekends, with availability for some morning, noon, and evening shifts on an on-call/event-based schedule.
- Must provide regular and consistent written availability to management.
- Must obtain and maintain a Food Handlers Card through ServeSafe and any other required compliance trainings.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects, such as boxes and equipment.
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma, G.E.D., or related food service experience preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
