Job Summary
Operate dishwashing equipment to clean, sanitize, and air dry dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen tools while monitoring wash temperatures and recording data. Maintain kitchen cleanliness by sanitizing stainless areas, washing floor mats, and removing trash to the dumpster. Shut down and clean dish machine jets and screens using hot water, restock clean items, and report equipment malfunctions or supply shortages. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and OSHA guidelines, including handwashing protocols and chemical label reading. Work 3-4 days a week in Rupert, ID, with holiday and weekend availability, reporting to a hospitality team focused on whole foods and healthcare community support.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Ability to read labels on chemicals
- Knowledge of workplace safety procedures
- Willingness and ability to adhere to workplace procedures in accordance with department and OSHA guidelines
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- ServSafe Certification (obtained within 90 days of employment)
- State Food Handlers Card
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen
- Physical and Sensory Requirements: regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and a kitchen environment with fumes, airborne particles, and moderate noise
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift trays, and perform repetitive tasks
- Occasional exposure to wet or humid conditions, extreme temperatures, and vibration
