Job Summary
Buss tables, wash dishes, pots, pans, and flatware, and reset dining areas. Prepare dining areas and kitchen for the next shift by cleaning and restocking stations. Clean kitchen appliances, unload deliveries, sweep and mop floors, and take out trash. Assist other staff members with tasks as needed and report kitchen accidents or food safety violations. Maintain cleanliness and proper storage of china, glass, and silver while ensuring sanitation standards. This part-time role at the Westin Portland Harborview offers a daily staff meal and starts at $16 per hour plus a 3% service charge on banquet events.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly
- Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- Must work well in stressful high pressure situations
- Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred
