Job Summary
The Dishwasher role focuses on operating an industrial dishwasher, washing and sanitizing all plate ware, drink ware, utensils, pots, pans, and cooking equipment, keeping the dish room clean and organized, and assisting prep cooks and kitchen staff during peak times. Responsibilities include loading/unloading dishes, maintaining clean and sanitary food preparation areas, following proper sanitation and safety procedures, managing waste and spills, and ensuring proper storage of dishes and equipment. Requires 18+ years old, a current Food Handler’s Card where applicable, effective communication, ability to learn chemical usage, temperature tolerance in a kitchen environment, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced team setting.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must possess a current Food Handler’s Card, where applicable
- Must be able to communicate effectively with team members
- Learn about all chemicals used in the building and ability to learn to use them properly
- Ability to work around various levels of temperature, including warm to very warm temperatures in the kitchen
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, team work environment
