Job Summary
Ensure smooth kitchen operations by keeping dishwashing areas organized and managing tasks efficiently to maintain workflow. Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines while restocking the kitchen and cooking line as needed. Perform routine cleaning of the kitchen, assist with general cleaning tasks, and maintain clear floors. Operate dish machines correctly by changing water and chemicals per procedure. Wash, sanitize, and store plates and smallware properly. Inspect food receiving, preparation, production, and storage areas to ensure health and safety regulations are adhered to. Correct unsafe practices or conditions and notify management immediately. Demonstrate teamwork by supporting all areas of the restaurant as business needs arise.
Required Qualifications
- 1+year BOH experience in full-service restaurant
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Ability to lift, carry or move up to 30 lbs
- Able to work in hot and cold environments
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time, up to 8 hours per shift
- Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, squatting and stooping
- Manual dexterity to handle glassware, utensils and technology systems
- Ability to move quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Visual ability to include distance, close, color, depth and peripheral. Also, the ability to adjust focus as needed. The role involves working in areas with low or dim lighting
- Ability to perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
- Responsible Beverage Service Certifications
