Job Summary
Ensure smooth kitchen operations by keeping dishwashing areas organized and managing tasks to maintain workflow. Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines while restocking the kitchen and cooking line as needed. Perform routine cleaning, keep floors clean and dry, and properly wash, sanitize, and store plates and smallware. Operate dish machines correctly, including changing water and chemicals, and maintain inspection of food receiving and storage areas. Correct unsafe practices immediately and notify management. Support all restaurant areas as business needs arise. This role requires 1+ year of back-of-house experience, bilingual skills, and the ability to lift 30 lbs in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- 1+year BOH experience in full-service restaurant
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Ability to lift, carry or move up to 30 lbs
- Able to work in hot and cold environments
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time, up to 8 hours per shift
- Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, squatting and stooping
- Manual dexterity to handle glassware, utensils and technology systems
- Ability to move quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Visual ability to include distance, close, color, depth and peripheral. Also, the ability to adjust focus as needed. The role involves working in areas with low or dim lighting
- Ability to perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
