Dishwasher - Mill Valley

Wash and clean tableware, pots, pans, and cooking equipment. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Promote, work, and act in a manner consistent with TARTINE's mission. Act with integrity, honesty, and knowledge to promote the culture, values, and mission of TARTINE. Contribute to creating a culture and work environment based on respect; providing opportunities for staff to learn, grow, and develop their abilities. Arrive to the kitchen floor ready to work at the start of the shift. Understand all aspects of how to properly use the dish machines and how to set up the three-compartment sink. Abides by all Health Department regulations regarding dishwashing. Works cleanly, ensuring that every station is cleaned after every project executed. Notifies managers when supplies are low or equipment not working. Quickly and efficiently cleans all dishware, prevents large pileups. Keeps all clean dishware organized. Restocks dishes and small wares. Cleans bathrooms and helps deep clean kitchen and prep stations. Takes out trash daily and organizes recycling and compost appropriately. Restocks hand wash sinks with soap and towels. Cleans floors and walk-ins. Helps with simple prep tasks (garlic, shallots, herbs, citrus). Assist other team members when needed. Clean equipment and workspaces following management procedures. Communicates with team respectfully using plural form. Maximize efficiency and time management in shifts. Work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Seek help when needed. Ensure safety and minimize risk. Be self-motivated and able to work without supervision in the absence of chef/sous chefs.
