Job Summary
Conduct daily dish station setup, sanitation, and equipment maintenance while ensuring all service wares are clean and sanitized. Manage proper storage and removal of garbage and soiled linens, reporting any breakage or damage immediately to management. Perform opening and closing side-work, stock stations with prescribed supplies, and attend pre-service meetings and training sessions. Anticipate employee needs, communicate product requirements to chefs or purchasers, and comply with Department of Health and company sanitation standards. Requires in-depth knowledge of dish machines and cleaning chemicals, plus the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Company in-venue Dish Washer training
- Food Handling Certificate
- Must be able to stand, lift and bend for extended periods of time
- Must be able to bend and lift to 50 lbs
- Must be able to work and remain focused in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
- Ability to work a flexible schedule inclusive of varying shifts such as days, evenings, weekends and holidays
Desired Qualifications
- Previous porter and/or Dish Washer experience preferred
