Job Summary
Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and food service equipment using commercial machines or manual methods, ensuring all items meet sanitation standards before storage. Perform food preparation tasks including washing, chopping, slicing, measuring, and marinating ingredients while adhering to food safety protocols. Maintain kitchen cleanliness by sweeping, mopping, and organizing workspaces, while properly sorting, loading, and unloading dishware. Assist with meal production by portioning and packaging meals according to specifications, and communicate equipment or supply needs to supervisors. Work onsite from 8:30 AM to 5 PM Monday through Friday in a full-time, union role within the Chicken Soup Brigade program.
Required Qualifications
- High school Diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of food safety practices and protocols
- Current King County Food Worker's Card, or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of start date
- Valid Washington State Driver's License
- Good driving record
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work onsite in the Georgetown neighborhood of Seattle
- Onsite presence 08:30AM - 5PM Monday – Friday
- Full-time employment availability
- Non-exempt employment classification
- Ability to pass a criminal background check

- Valid Washington State Driver's License and a good driving record is preferred
