Job Summary
Operate the dish machine to wash, sanitize, and dry all kitchen utensils, equipment, plates, silverware, glassware, pots, and pans. Maintain a pace sufficient to prevent back-ups, then return and restock items to appropriate areas. Safely use tools, move up to 50 pounds frequently, and work in confined, crowded spaces with variable noise and temperature levels. Assist with general back-of-house cleanliness, empty garbage, and maintain dishwashing machinery while communicating supply issues to management. Comply with all safety, sanitation, and employment policies. Available to work a variety of hours, days, and shifts, including weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Available to work a variety of hours, days and shifts, including weekends
- Able to move and lift up to 10 pounds, frequently move and/or lift up to 25 pounds, and occasionally move and/or lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk for an entire shift and move safely through all areas of the restaurant, which may include stairs, uneven or slick surfaces
- Ability to read a thermometer
- Ability to effectively communicate in order to perform and follow job requirements in written and spoken direction
- Multitask calmly and effectively under pressure
- Work in a confined, crowded space of variable noise and temperature levels
