Job Summary
Maintain a clean kitchen by washing, sorting, and organizing soiled dishes while ensuring the dish area remains clutter-free. Monitor dish water temperature during sanitized cycles and log readings. Wash dishes, glassware, pots, pans, and flatware using machines or by hand, then place clean items in storage after air-drying. Clean work areas including equipment, floors, walls, and cooking zones. Ensure chemicals for the dish machine and 3-compartment sink are kept filled, remove trash, and assist with delivery acceptance and supply transfers. Occasionally assist in kitchen prep. Adhere to Legends dress code and food service training requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Food Handlers Permit Required in accordance with the San Antonio Metropolitan Health District
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to complete required pre-employment food service training, if applicable
- Ability to work in a team
- Ability to stand and walk for entire length of shift
- Ability to lift and carry supplies and equipment up to 60 pounds and place items on high and low shelves
- Frequently required to reach up to 6-7 feet, twist at waist, bending and squatting
- Pushing and pulling occasionally, to move equipment, mops and brooms
- Must adhere to the Legends dress code which includes wearing black pants and non-slip soled closed toe shoes
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
- English preferred as primary language, but not required
