Job Summary
Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glassware, tableware, pots, pans, and trays by hand. Bus tables and maintain a high standard of cleanliness in the kitchen and storeroom. Clean large and small kitchen equipment including major and small appliances. Report damage or problems promptly to the Supervisor on duty. Work flexible 4, 6, or 8-hour shifts across weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Obtain a Food Handlers Permit and pass child safety screening. Commit to supporting equity, diversity, and inclusion while maintaining a smoke-free, drug-free environment.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to work varied hours, including weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to obtain a proper permit to serve food and beverages (Food Handlers Permit)
- Commitment to support IslandWood's work towards equity, diversity, and inclusion in the workplace
- Must be able to comply with and maintain a smoke-free and drug-free work environment
- Must pass child safety screening procedure, post-offer
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended time (duration of shift)
- Frequent kneeling/stooping and full range of motion with hands and arms
