Job Summary
Operate dishwashing machines and hand wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and glassware, ensuring all items are cleaned, sanitized, and dried before storage. Maintain a clean and organized dishwashing area, including proper waste disposal and recycling, while assisting kitchen staff with equipment needs. Help with food preparation tasks, monitor cleaning supplies, and report maintenance issues. Participate in regular cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, and appliance cleaning, and ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines. Address member and guest complaints professionally, notify management of issues, and complete additional duties as assigned by the Chef or supervisors.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in a dishwashing or kitchen support role
- Proficient communication skills with the ability to follow instructions accurately
- Must be able to stand, walk, and perform physical activities for extended periods
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and environments, with potential exposure to dust, fumes, or gases
- Capable of climbing ladders, squatting, kneeling, reaching, grasping, twisting, bending, and folding/unfolding as required
- Able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 100 lbs. occasionally
- Effective communication skills, including talking and hearing, with sufficient visual acuity
- Must be able to stand, walk, and perform physical activities for extended periods
