Job Summary
Dishwasher needed in a senior living/healthcare kitchen to perform dish and pot washing, maintain cleanliness, assist in ordering and storage of food and non-food products, and support safe kitchen operations. Responsibilities include washing dishes and pots, setting up and maintaining washing areas, sanitizing production equipment and work surfaces, disposing of trash, assisting in food preparation as directed, reporting equipment malfunctions to the Food and Beverage Director, and upholding safety practices to protect residents and staff. Requires high school education; preferred knowledge of large-group cooking, state food-handling regulations, OSHA and fire/safety procedures; must comply with Level 2 background screening. Must disclose any medication that could impair performance; participates in required courses and life-enrichment activities as applicable.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a high school education
- Experience in cooking for large groups a plus
- Knowledge of state food-handling and kitchen regulations preferred
- Knowledge of OSHA Standards and fire and safety procedures preferred
