Job Summary
Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using a dishwasher or by hand, ensuring all items are clean, sanitized, and properly stored. Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area, kitchen floors, counters, and equipment while disposing of trash in proper containers. Monitor levels of dishwashing supplies such as soap and sanitizers, notifying the Kitchen Manager when supplies are low. Ensure the dishwasher operates correctly and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs. Assist kitchen staff with food prep and cleaning tasks as needed while adhering to health and safety regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Food Handler certification required
- Availability to work during holidays, nights, and weekends with increased hours during peak times
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times
- Ability to work in an environment with loud noise, flashing lights and repetitive motions
Desired Qualifications
- HS Diploma or GED certificate preferred
- Previous experience as a dishwasher preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic understanding of sanitation and safety practices
