Job Summary
Wash dishes, glasses, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using commercial machines or manual methods, ensuring all items are thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, and free of food residue. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the dishwashing area, storage spaces, and kitchen, while regularly cleaning and sanitizing equipment. Dispose of trash and recycling per hotel policies and properly store clean items in designated areas. Assist with basic food prep tasks like peeling vegetables or chopping ingredients, help unload deliveries, and notify supervisors when supplies are low. Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure clean dishes are available for service in a fast-paced, hot, and noisy environment. Full-time position with variable shifts including weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs)
- Ability to work in a hot, noisy, and fast-paced environment
- Full-time position with variable shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Occasional overtime as needed during peak periods
- Work in a commercial kitchen environment with exposure to heat, noise, and kitchen equipment
