Job Summary
Conduct daily food preparation for residents and guests by following menus, recipes, and modified diet requirements while instructing servers on proper handling and plating. Clean kitchen and dining areas, sanitize equipment using 3-compartment sinks, and manage inventory and supply deliveries in accordance with HACCP guidelines. Maintain work zones and perform required cleaning tasks throughout the shift while reporting any evidence of elder abuse or neglect. This hybrid role includes Saturday through Monday hours from 11am to 7:30pm for the cook, or Thursday through Friday from 2pm to 10pm for the dishwasher. The position requires a minimum of one year in a similar role, certified safe food handling, and the ability to lift over 25 pounds. Required Qualifications
- Minimum of (1) year in similar position
- preferable senior living or home-care background
- Must be able to clearly and proficiently communicate with people of all ages and abilities

- Must be able to read and write English
- follow verbal and written instructions
- Must maintain a clean and well-groomed appearance
- follow the dress code as outlined in the employee handbook
- High School education
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends, evenings, rotating shifts, and occasional overtime
- Be in good health
- physically and mentally capable of performing assigned tasks
- Demonstrates freedom from pulmonary tuberculosis by a health screening performed by a physician prior to employment
- Certified in safe food handling
- Must be cleared in a criminal background check administered in the state of employment

- Requires ability to stand for extended periods of time
