Job Summary
Care and clean kitchen equipment, dish rooms, and pot washing areas while operating machinery to sanitary standards. Wash pots, pans, trays, and cooking equipment; peel vegetables and fruits. Clean spills immediately, maintain display equipment, and scrub trash cans. Transfer supplies using hand trucks, remove trash, and separate it into designated containers. Steam cleanse garbage cans and maintain restroom cleanliness. Follow HACCP standards for portion control and serving temperatures. Handle deliveries according to health regulations, inform the chef when supplies are low, and relay customer comments to supervisors. Greet customers courteously and resolve complaints. Complete shift work in a timely manner.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull and place objects up to 25 pounds without assistance
- Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
- Ability to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time
- Flexible and long hours are sometimes required
