Job Summary
Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to clean and sanitize all dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment while adhering to strict health and safety guidelines. Sort, stack, and store clean items in designated areas, maintaining a hazard-free environment by sweeping, mopping, and managing waste. Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks like peeling and chopping, and collaborate with the culinary team to ensure smooth workflow and timely food delivery. Report any equipment malfunctions promptly and communicate effectively to coordinate tasks and prioritize workload. Must possess valid Food Handlers Certification, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Food safety knowledge, including familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices, along with an understanding of proper food storage, handling, and hygiene procedures
- Ability to follow sanitation protocols, including proper handwashing and appropriate glove use
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds)
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks
- Ability to bend, stoop, and reach
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

- Meticulousness in following instructions and maintaining cleanliness standards
- Awareness of personal hygiene practices to maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Familiarity with basic food safety and sanitation principles, including proper handling and storage of food items
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evening, weekends, and holidays
- Must have a valid Food Handlers Certification
- Ability to learn cash register software used by bar or restaurant POS – Aloha, Hot Schedule, Paylocity
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be able to work late nights and unpredictable hours
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a Dishwasher or in a similar role
