Job Summary
Wash, rinse, and sanitize kitchenware, stainless steel walls, and dish equipment in accordance with dining hall sanitation procedures. Load and unload the dishwashing machine, manually scrub pots and pans, and re-stack clean dishes as they emerge. Maintain weekly cleaning schedules by sweeping, mopping, and emptying trash receptacles in the kitchen, serving area, and pantry nightly. Ensure the safe condition of the dish room and gather trash from kitchen areas at the end of the shift. Work Saturday and Sunday mornings from 6 am to 2:30 pm, with flexibility for afternoons, evenings, and catering events. This full-time position supports Brewster's dining services utility staff, serving three meals daily for a vibrant educational community.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to lift 35 libs on occasion
- Stand, bend, lift, carry, and move in 2-hour increments
- Flexibility to work afternoons/evenings as well as weekends and various catering events throughout the year
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in hospitality preferred
