Job Summary
Operate dishwashing equipment to clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, and banquet equipment while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Maintain a clean, organized work area, monitor cleaning supply inventory, and drive supplies throughout the resort as needed. Assist with banquet event setup, including arranging tables and linens, and support staff by delivering and replenishing supplies during events. Clear and clean tables promptly after events and collaborate with the banquet team to ensure efficient workflow and guest satisfaction. Assist in training new stewards. Valid driver's license required; flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of proper dishwashing and sanitation procedures
- Ability to operate dishwashing equipment and other cleaning tools
- Physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects
- Valid drivers license in good standing with DMV
- Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace
- Must have knowledge of Microsoft software such as Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 5 hours in length
- Must be able to exert a well-paced ability to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously
- Must be able to lift items weighing up to 25-50 lbs. as needed
- Needs to be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 100 lbs. occasionally
- Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening, and hearing ability, and visual acuity
- Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the banquet schedule
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience as a dishwasher or steward preferred, but NOT required
