Job Summary
Operate dish-washing equipment to ensure china, glass, and silver are cleaned thoroughly, then replace items in proper storage to minimize breakage. Wash pots, pans, and kitchen utensils following sanitation procedures, while sweeping and mopping floors in the kitchen and restaurant. Empty garbage from Food and Beverage areas into the hotel dumpster and maintain cleanliness in the back dock and dumpster area. Assist kitchen staff in maintaining storage areas and ensure proper food storage and rotation. Maintain a friendly demeanor at all times and perform other tasks assigned by the supervisor. Shifts run from 6am to 12am and require flexibility.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience in a hotel or a related field
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly
- Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- Must work well in stressful high pressure situations
- Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
- Must be flexible
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred
