Job Summary
Operate commercial dishwashing equipment, sinks, and power sprayers to clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, and pans. Load and unload dish racks, sort and stack clean items in designated storage areas, and hand wash delicate or oversized items. Inspect dishes for food residue, sweep and mop kitchen floors, empty garbage bins, and assist in receiving deliveries. Maintain kitchen equipment and adhere to food safety guidelines while supporting other staff as needed. Current State Food Handler Certification required; physical stamina to stand and lift heavy loads essential. Flexible for shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

- Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy loads
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment
- Attention to detail to ensure thorough cleaning and sanitization of dishes and utensils
- Basic knowledge of proper dishwashing techniques and sanitation procedures
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions from kitchen managers or chefs
- Good time management and multitasking skills
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Effective communication skills to work as part of a team
- Ability to work in a hot and humid environment
- Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
- Physical agility and ability to bend, stoop, and reach to perform cleaning tasks
- Positive attitude and willingness to assist in various kitchen duties
- Dependability and punctuality
- Current State Food Handler Certification
