Job Summary
Dishroom Supervisor at Gate Gourmet responsible for supervising 30+ food production employees in a unionized environment, ensuring HACCP, FDA, USDA and safety regulations are followed, coordinating labor and material cost controls, and preparing management reports. Duties include maintaining quality production standards, inventory and requisitions, temperature and other logs, coordinating with maintenance for equipment, ensuring wage-and-hour compliance, coaching and supervising staff, managing staffing and scheduling, and enforcing company policies. Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED (Associates preferred), 2+ years supervisory experience in food production/manufacturing, ServSafe certification preferred, and strong leadership and communication skills. Bilingual ability is a plus. Knowledge of airline specifications and coding procedures, plus proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associates degree preferred
- 2+ years supervisory experience in high volume manufacturing/food production or related field preferred
- ServSafe Certification (required or preferred)
- Must have strong leadership and ability to manage 30+ hourly employees
- Bi-lingual in English and Spanish/Chinese Mandarin/ Vietnamese/Hindi/Polish a plus
- Strong organizational, analytical, communication and leadership skills
- Ability to train others and give feedback
- Experience with HACCP, FDA, USDA compliance and safety regulations
