Job Summary
Clean and sanitize all dishes, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and cooking utensils using commercial dishwashing equipment. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dish room, kitchen, and food preparation areas, properly storing clean items in designated areas. Empty trash and recycling containers, sweep and mop floors, and assist with cleaning equipment, storage areas, and workstations. Ensure adequate supplies of cleaning chemicals and support kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks. Follow local health department regulations and safety policies while assisting with setup and breakdown of kitchen and banquet operations. Work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays with potential overtime.
Required Qualifications
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to frequently bend, stoop, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in a hot, humid, and fast-paced kitchen environment
- Ability to safely operate commercial dishwashing equipment and handle cleaning chemicals
- Must be available to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Overtime may be required based on business needs and special events
