Job Summary
Discovery Giving Officer responsible for initiating relationships with new donor prospects for the University of Arizona by assessing giving capacity, affinity, and inclination through face-to-face visits, virtual visits, phone calls, emails and regional outreach events. Develop and execute a comprehensive major gifts effort (up to $50,000) within a portfolio framework (30-40 prospects per liaison unit), including qualification, solicitation, and stewardship to fund scholarships, faculty research, and campus programs. Responsibilities include meeting with prospects in person or virtually, maintaining CRM records (Lynx), developing post-qualification cultivation strategies, achieving engagement and fundraising metrics, and collaborating with PAE colleagues across campus. Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to manage multiple priorities with deadlines, and a commitment to donor-centric service. Occasional in-state travel and evening/weekend event coverage may be required. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree and two years of fundraising or related experience; equivalent combinations are acceptable.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of successful experience in charitable gifts fundraising and development programs or in a related occupation (e.g., sales, public relations, communications)
- Any equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education approved by Human Resources.
