Job Summary
Full-time Discovery Clerk in Los Angeles supporting the discovery phase for litigation; responsibilities include propounding and responding to discovery, drafting and responding to meet and confer letters regarding discovery responses, and tracking the status of discovery documents. Also assists with case intake by reviewing leases, legal forms, and correspondence for specific information and analyzing facts; contact clients as needed to obtain missing case-related information; perform additional administrative duties as needed by the department. Requires discovery experience, ability to succeed in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with minimal oversight; strong organizational skills, multitasking and follow-up with clients; strong written communication with exceptional attention to detail; comfortable speaking with business professionals. Preferred: experience with preparing subpoenas, knowledge of unlawful detainers, ProLaw experience. Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program or equivalent training/experience.
