Discipline Design Leader

Manage the R&D Mechatronics budget and headcount allocation, ensuring alignment with hierarchical managers and optimizing quotation processes. Drive project optimization by coordinating R&D disciplines, synchronizing stakeholders, and establishing simple activity breakdowns for on-time delivery. Oversee robust design for manufacturing and validation, ensuring DV/PV milestones, technical reviews, and engineering gates are met within economic targets. Deliver critical documents including architecture, DFMEA, and EOL specs while managing QRQC for critical items. Represent the R&D Mechatronics function at the customer, cascading internal requests and escalating issues as needed. Lead daily management of contributors, assigning work packages and tracking progress against back-on-track plans.
