Discharge / BLS Transport EMT – Part Time

Job Summary
Provide BLS care during discharge transports and interfacility transfers on a part-time night schedule; safely operate ambulances and transport vehicles; monitor and assess patient condition throughout transport; document care provided for medical records; coordinate with medical facilities and Dispatch; assist with patient loading/unloading with safety priority; attend safety meetings and shift briefings; perform daily readiness checks on transport equipment, vehicles, and supplies; maintain and stock medical equipment; participate in ongoing training and simulation exercises; collaborate with Paramedics and fellow EMTs to ensure transport safety; assist with onboarding and training new hires; engage in community partner outreach; complete required trip documentation before end of shift; perform other duties as directed.
Required Qualifications
- Current Oregon State EMT certification
- CPR/BLS certification (current)
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Familiarity with ambulance transport, medical equipment, and protocols
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Physically fit to manage job demands
- Preferred 1–3 years' experience in EMS or healthcare
- Ability to work in various weather conditions
- Capability to lift and move patients safely
- Professional demeanor and strong patient-care focus
