Job Summary
The Discharge Analyst HIM Tech is responsible for the collection, assembly, and analysis of inpatient and outpatient surgery charts the day following discharge. This role entails scanning discharges and loose reports into the correct medical record using QuickChart, accurately filing completed charts in permanent files using terminal digit order, and assisting with department telephone calls and walk-in requests as needed. Candidates should possess knowledge of office files equipment and procedures, have entry-level computer skills, and demonstrate organizational skills along with a positive attitude and teamwork.
