Job Summary
Disaster Recovery Analyst responsible for collecting data for the DR workbook, ensuring data accuracy, and collaborating with IT teams to validate data and update the CMDB. Supports the EARS process and architectural reviews to ensure the required level of resilience and RTO/RPO. Ensures IT DR plans for new solutions and major changes are created, updated, and fully tested prior to go-live. Creates a Workflow Centre to deliver detailed instructions, tasks, and recovery procedures for business-critical systems and infrastructure services. Conducts and manages reviews and updates to all DR tasks when changes occur. Reports to the ITSC/ITDR Lead, provides DR leadership, and supports the BCM team in identifying the Minimum Viable Business (MVB) for IT DR testing and runbooks via the Workflow Center with annual reviews. Assists with tabletop and live recovery exercises, documents testing, and captures lessons learned in post-test summaries for future DR tests. Develops and documents failure modes for top infrastructure services, creates test plans to integrate into IT DR plans, and uses the Workflow Center as the hub for runbooks in live and test environments. Participates in ITDR workshops with key stakeholders to deliver training and support. Documents and records the step-by-step processes and tracker information to ensure accuracy and readiness. Supports BCM to determine business requirements for MVB and suitable recovery solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of IT Disaster Recovery (ITDR) / IT Service Continuity
- Strong knowledge of ITDR frameworks (ITIL, ISO 22301, NIST)
- Hands-on experience in planning and executing DR tests (tabletop and live)
- Experience in developing and maintaining DR runbooks and recovery procedures
- Familiarity with CMDB tools and workflow/runbook automation platforms (e.g., ServiceNow)
- Exposure to infrastructure environments (servers, networks, cloud)
- Strong stakeholder management across global teams
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
