Job Summary
Disaster Case Manager (temporary) provides intake assessments, develops individualized recovery plans, and connects disaster survivors with federal/state/nonprofit resources in Alaska. The role requires coordinating with government agencies and community partners, maintaining confidential case files, and delivering client-centered, trauma-informed advocacy to support sustainable recovery. Requires ability to work in various settings (office, field) with potential evenings/weekends and local travel; Bachelor’s or related experience preferred; strong communication, organizational, and resource-navigation skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, Counseling, Emergency Management, Public Administration, or a related field preferred
- Minimum of two years of experience in case management, social services, disaster recovery, housing assistance, behavioral health, or a related field preferred
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered
