Disability Support Worker

Job Summary
Provide personal care and daily living support in line with the participant's support plan, including safe transfers, mobility assistance, PEG feeding, and indwelling catheter care. Assist with community access and social activities while maintaining accurate shift notes, incident reports, and documentation. Ensure compliance with NDIS Practice Standards and SIRV policies by collaborating with the SIL team, Team Leader, and allied health professionals. This 24/7 rotating roster role includes overnight shifts for a participant with complex medical needs at a Supported Independent Living home in Millbridge.
Required Qualifications
- A genuine, caring approach with a strong understanding of person-centred practice
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
- First Aid & CPR certification
- Current WA Driver's License and reliable transport
- Flexibility to work a 24/7 rotating roster, including overnight shifts
Desired Qualifications
- PEG feeding and medication administration via PEG
- Indwelling catheter care
- Transfers using Sara Steady (or similar mechanical lifting equipment)
- Experience supporting participants with complex medical needs
