Job Summary
Support participants with daily living activities, domestic assistance, meal preparation, and sleepovers while managing health needs including diabetes, asthma, and medication administration using hoists and slings. Complete accurate progress notes and collaborate with the support team to promote independence and wellbeing. This permanent part-time role in Moe requires a Certificate III in Individual Support, current NDIS Worker Screening Check, and experience with manual handling, diabetes, and asthma management. A consistent roster includes Thursday nights and Saturday and Sunday days.
Required Qualifications
- Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability or a related qualification
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current Working with Children Check
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- Evidence of Australian working rights
- Experience using hoists and slings
- Experience supporting people with diabetes
- Knowledge of asthma management
- Medication administration experience
- Safe manual handling skills
- Good cooking and household management skills
- Strong communication skills
- The ability to work as part of a team
- Initiative and the ability to work independently
- A person-centred and respectful approach
