Job Summary
Support an ASD child with daily activities, cleaning, and laundry to maintain a safe environment. Provide respite for parents while facilitating community access and social participation. Encourage clients to develop independent living skills through collaborative team efforts. Document client progress and concerns for relevant stakeholders. This temporary, casual role in Melton requires a Certificate III in Disability Support or related field, with experience in SIL and in-home care settings. Fluency in Auslan is highly desirable.
Required Qualifications
- Certificate III in Disability Support or related field
- Diploma in Community Services
- Experience in the disability support sector
- Experience in Supported Independent Living (SIL) and in-home care (IHC) settings
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving skills
Desired Qualifications
- Fluency in Auslan is highly desirable
