Job Summary
Provide direct support to clients with a range of support needs, including behaviours of concern and mental health conditions. Assist with daily living tasks, personal care, meal preparation, and home maintenance. Offer transport and community access while encouraging independence, choice, and routine. Follow behaviour support strategies and care plans to manage emotional regulation, anxiety, or distress. Promote safety, dignity, and respect at all times while documenting shift notes and reporting concerns to the team leader. This role requires patience, good communication skills, and the ability to stay calm and professional when supporting clients with complex needs.
Required Qualifications
- Current Working with Children Check
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- Valid Victorian Driver Licence
- Access to a reliable, insured vehicle
- Ability to follow support plans, behaviour support plans and workplace procedures
Desired Qualifications
- Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability, Mental Health or similar
- Minimum 12 months' experience in disability, mental health or community support
- Experience supporting clients with behaviours of concern
