Disability Support Worker – Café

Job Summary
Provide hands-on 1:1 cafe support to participants with disabilities in a café and canteen environment, guiding them through daily café operations including food preparation, customer service, and barista tasks. Develop personalised learning plans to build practical café skills aligned with participants’ employment goals; deliver structured, inclusive training on barista techniques, food handling, hygiene, POS systems, and customer engagement; mentor and coach participants to foster independence, use Positive Behaviour Support strategies, and maintain high standards of food safety and OH&S compliance; monitor progress, report outcomes, and support community engagement and program improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Cert IV in Disability Studies or Cert IV Individual Support
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities, particularly in vocational training, skills development, and career pathways
- Café and barista experience to ensure high-quality customer service and coffee preparation
- Hold a current full Victorian Driver’s Licence
- All applicants must hold a current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance and obtain a Working with Children Check prior to employment
- All relevant staff must provide evidence of unrestricted Australian residential and working visa
