Job Summary

Conduct one-on-one and group job readiness trainings for individuals with disabilities, focusing on essential skills for community employment. Escort participants to interviews and facilitate the hiring process, while providing post-placement follow-up with both job-seekers and employer partners. Develop curricula for classroom instruction on employability skills and build collaborative relationships with businesses in the greater Boston area. Monitor client progress, document outcomes, and evaluate program effectiveness using structured intervention techniques. Maintain files and records while serving as a key contributor to the JVS team's mission of supporting employment, training, and education needs.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in Human Services or other related field
  • A deep commitment to disability inclusion in the workforce
  • Flexibility with in-person services and local travel
  • Ability to work effectively with staff and clients from diverse cultural, socio-economic, ethnic, and educational backgrounds
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • 1-3 years of experience in workforce development or related field
  • 1-3 years of experience in working with individuals with barriers to employment
  • An understanding of job development and job placement
  • Knowledge of the disability rights movement and/or self-advocacy movements
