Job Summary

Disability Resource Coordinator at Capital Workforce Partners provides subject-matter expertise and internal support to the American Job Center system for improving employment pathways for individuals with disabilities. The role trains staff on resources and best practices, conducts annual accessibility audits, guides programs and services to support workforce participation, connects customers with supported programs, coordinates services across partners, and leads the Ticket to Work program as the primary staff person for the Employment Network. It requires building partnerships with employers, workforce boards, and service providers, plus travel to multiple locations and active engagement in grant-related activities and program operations to promote inclusive employment opportunities.

Required Qualifications

  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert and Internal Resource
  • Serve as an expert resource to CWP and American Job Center staff throughout the North Central Region regarding federal, state, local, and private programs that support individuals with disabilities in entering, re-entering, and remaining in the workforce.
  • Train CWP and American Job Center staff on available resources and best practices for effectively serving job seekers with disabilities.
  • Conduct annual accessibility audits and ensure facility issues affecting individuals with disabilities are identified and addressed promptly.
  • Provide guidance to American Job Center staff on supportive programs, benefits, and services that support successful workforce participation.
  • Facilitate connections to programs and services that best meet individual customer needs.
  • Facilitate CWP’s Integrated Resource Team process to coordinate and blend services and funding across partners. When appropriate, convene and facilitate team meetings to develop individualized employment plans for job seekers with disabilities experiencing employment barriers.
  • Provide technical assistance to CWP youth programs to support customers in accessing individualized supports, including special education and related services under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, to promote successful transition to adulthood.
  • Facilitate the Ticket to Work Program
  • Serve as the primary staff person for CWP’s Employment Network.
  • Conduct outreach and recruitment activities for the Ticket to Work program.
  • Coordinate referrals from community service providers and other organizations and agencies.
  • Assign and track Tickets for Social Security Disability Insurance and Supplemental Security Income beneficiaries.
  • Provide ongoing services, case management, and support to Ticket holders as they progress toward their employment and career goals.
  • Develop and Maintain Partner Relationships
