Job Summary
Disability Representative Sr responsible for disability case management and complex claim determinations based on medical documentation and plan interpretation, including determining benefits due and arranging timely payments/adjustments; negotiates return to work with or without accommodations; reviews contested claims and coordinates referrals to outside vendors or physician advisors; communicates with claimants and providers to set expectations and maintain timely status updates; ensures compliance with duration guidelines, ERISA, FMLA, and applicable disability regulations; utilizes clinical resources for complex assessments and may travel as required to facilitate investigations and return-to-work processes; emphasizes customer service and collaboration with clients and team to meet quality program requirements and achieve favorable outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college preferred.
- State certification or licensing in statutory leaves is preferred or may be required based on state regulations.
- Three (3) years of benefits or disability case/claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
