Job Summary
Senior Disability Representative role focusing on disability case management and claim determinations. Responsible for analyzing complex medical information to determine disability status, determining benefits due and processing timely payments/adjustments, coordinating investigative efforts and return-to-work negotiations (with or without accommodations), reviewing contested claims, and routing cases to outside vendors or physician advisors as needed. Requires communicating with claimants and providers to set expectations, ensuring compliance with duration guidelines and plan provisions, and maintaining professional client relationships. The position supports a hybrid work arrangement and requires proximity to designated centers of excellence. Knowledge of ERISA, SSDI/SSDI offsets, medical terminology, and ability to negotiate, analyze, and interpret claims data is essential. Options for referral to independent medical evaluations and other disability activities are included, along with travel as required and a comprehensive benefits package.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Three (3) years of benefits or disability case/claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required
