Disability Processor

Review and analyze short-term disability income claims, initial liability, and ongoing determinations from first submission to finalization. Assess claimant and medical information to determine entitlement of ongoing benefits and draw valid conclusions. Maintain complete and accurate coding and processing while applying knowledge of plan designs to everyday processing. Provide high-quality customer service to all Fund members by responding to and resolving complex issues, including those escalated by members. Raise issues as appropriate to Team Supervisor or Department Manager. Utilize professional excellence tools to ensure efficient and quality output/service delivery. Work cooperatively with other team members, actively participate in team meetings and training activities, and perform additional responsibilities as assigned. Prior knowledge of short-term disability claims and solid knowledge of medical terminology are required. Minimum 40 WPM and 3,000 KPH proficiency, along with strong oral and written communication skills, are essential.
